Volunteering
We are currently accepting new volunteers.

Volunteers always required for our Radlett and Chalfont sites (age 14 and over).

Unfortunately, at this point in time, we are unable to accommodate Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates.

We are currently looking for people to support our open day sessions on Sundays in Chalfont St. Peter. Our visitors book to meet and groom one of the miniature Shetlands and take them for a (supervised) walk along a country road adjacent to our site. Volunteers help to facilitate this experience.

You will be required to visit the sanctuary for an induction session to chat to the founder, Julie, and a couple of our volunteers. This is for you to get a feel of the sanctuary and to see what the work may entail. If you're interested, please email us and request a volunteer form .

All volunteers aged 16 and under will need to have their parent/guardians permission (signature on the form). We may ask that parent/guardian will also need to volunteer with their charge for the first few sessions so that all parties know what the voluntary work entails.

ADULT VOLUNTEERS FOR YARD DUTIES
We also need people with some horse/pony experience to help with doing waters (and potentially feeds) at some of our fields, checking electric fencing and changing batteries if necessary, moving hay and straw, mucking out and checking the ponies to make sure that they are in good health.
Own transport a must.

VOLUNTEER HANDYMAN REQUIRED
Looking for a volunteer handyman to join the sanctuary. We have a talented handyman with us already however he only has one pair of hands and there is much to do! If you can help out regularly, don’t mind travelling between our sites and are capable of carrying out stable repairs, building shelters, fencing, digging, chopping, fixing please get in touch
